Is sitting all the time good for you?

I heard on the radio yesterday, there’s been research done on the metabolism of fat and cholesterol, in relationship to sitting (or laying) all the time.  The research found that it’s much better to stand up and talk on the phone, than to sit.

They said that companies with people who sit in office chairs all day should look at providing equipment so staff can stand for a certain period of the day.  For those using computers all day, we should look at ways to type while standing.
